The Ekadashi vrat is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and Shri Khatu Shyam Ji is revered as Krishna’s own form in the age of Kali. Each Ekadashi has its own name, story and fruit — but Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi is the most special of all, for it is held to be Baba’s day of manifestation.

Khatu-special date

Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi — Amalaki

Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi (Amalaki) is held to be the manifestation day of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji. On this day lakhs of devotees walk the Nishan Yatra from Ringas to Khatu for the blessing of his darshan.

In 2027 this falls on 18 March 2027. From it, the week-long “Lakhi Mela” runs through to the following Dwadashi and Holi.
