Ringas (Reengus) is the closest railway junction to Khatu Shyam — just 17 km, about half an hour away. Most devotees arriving by train from across India get down here and finish the last leg by jeep or taxi.

By road

It is a level 17 km from Ringas to Khatu. Shared jeeps, autos, taxis and buses wait right outside the station, and the drive takes about 30 minutes.

A shared jeep is cheapest at roughly ₹30–50 a seat; a private taxi runs ₹300–500. During the mela this road fills with pilgrims on foot and the nishan yatra.

By train

Ringas Junction — the nearest railhead

Ringas Junction (station code RGS) is the closest station to Khatu Shyam. Direct trains arrive from Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmer, Sikar, Bikaner and Jodhpur.

During the Phalgun Mela the railways run “Khatu Shyam mela special” trains to Ringas. Get down, take a jeep or taxi, and you are at darshan within half an hour.

By air

Ringas has no airport of its own. The nearest is Jaipur International (JAI), about 60 km away.

If you are flying in, it is simpler to drive straight from Jaipur to Khatu (80 km) — routing through Ringas is mainly for train travellers.

    Jeeps to Khatu fill up continuously outside Ringas station. For a solo traveller or small group, it is the cheapest and quickest option.

    Ringas is 17 km from Khatu; Sikar is 45 km. If Khatu is your only destination, get down at Ringas. For onward Shekhawati travel, Sikar is more convenient.

    Expect a slow road during the mela

    In the Phalgun Mela the Ringas–Khatu road is full of nishan pilgrims and vehicles move slowly. Allow extra time.

    From distant cities, catch a night train — get down at Ringas in the morning and reach Khatu in time for the Mangla aarti.
